Polygon has moved from Lotus Notes System to Google Apps. Avalon Solutions, a Google Apps Premier reseller, performed the successful rollout for 2500 users globally.
With an organisation located around the world Polygon looked for a collaboration platform that also lowered maintenance costs. They found it in Google Apps.
Except to make collaboration easier for Polygon, they have saved 3 MSEK per year since they could cancel their enterprise agreement with Microsoft. Along with mail, calendar, contacts and Google Drive Polygon Group has also started to use Google Sites to distribute key data from the ERP system to all their staff. This has added the value of Google Apps for Polygon Group.
We evaluated Office 365 and the IBM SmartCloud, but Google Apps gives the most for the money, and the services they received the highest rating in our evaluations. This applies not only Docs, but the whole Apps, says Mats Randleff, IT Director at Polygon Group.
Google Apps has brought a platform for Polygon Group that enables virtual teams across different geographies to work together, says Aurora Jarre-Orneman, Head of Cloud Services at Avalon Solutions.
